KEVIN D. HOAG
Kevin D. Hoag, 63, of South Plymouth, passed away Monday morning, January 23, 2107, at home following a long battle with cancer.
Kevin was born on March 24, 1953 in Norwich the son of Douglas and Jacqueline (Jackie) (Landry) Hoag. He has spent his entire life in the Norwich area and attended the Norwich schools. A man who loved to travel, Kevin took the NTTS (National Truck Training School) training. He did this so he could drive “the big rigs” and see the country which he did for 20 years. He also had been employed by the Raymond Corp., JM Machinery and for the past few years worked for Chobani.
Kevin loved nature. He enjoyed his hunting and fishing along with any type of animal with the Wolf being his favorite.
Kevin is survived by his companion of over 20 years Betsy McCormack of South Plymouth, his mom Jacqueline (Jackie ) Hoag of Norwich, Betsy’s children, who considered Kevin their second father, Maureen (Jeff) Almeter of Seattle, WA, Brenna McCormack of Norwich and Lauren McCormack and her fiance’ Steve Squires also of Norwich. Also surviving are his nephew Jonathan Hoag and wife Jennifer Bartle- Hoag and niece Amy Jean Hoag and fiance’ Michael Polizzi and his great nephew Connor.
Kevin was predeceased by his dad Douglas Hoag and brother Brian Hoag.
In keeping with Kevin’s wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral service.
