MELINDA (MINDY) NATOLI
Melinda (Mindy) Natoli, of Oxford & Norwich NY, passed away on January 18, 2017 at Wilson Hospital, Johnson City, NY
Mindy is survived by her husband, Trevor Natoli, special baby, pup, Mia Jane Natoli, her mother, Joanne (Roe) Ives & Marty Sayles of East Pharsalia, her father, Harold & Patty Ives of Guilford. Brothers, Michael (Holly) & Richard (Destiny) Ives of Oxford, her maternal grandparents, Joan & Richard Roe of Bloomingburg, her paternal grandmother, Phyllis Ives of Guilford, Trevor’s parents, John & Kim Natoli of Norwich, brother in law, Ryan (Kobie) Natoli of Syracuse, sister in law, Kelsey Natoli of Norwich, special nephews Aiden & Gavin along with Tucker, Jace & Rhys. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Arthur Ives of Oxford.
Mindy attended Oxford Academy in her home town of Oxford graduating with honors in 2005. She then attended St. Joseph’s College of Nursing receiving her ADN and RN in 2007. Mindy continued on at SUNY Delhi earning her BSN & graduating cum laude in 2010. She was an RN at Wilson Hospital for 8 years with her North Tower 4 family. She then worked as Discharge Planner/Case Manager at Chenango Memorial Hospital gaining another wonderful family.
On June 28, 2014, Mindy married her soul-mate & rock, Trevor Natoli. Mindy was an active member of the United Church of Oxford, serving on the consistory & participating in the bell choir. Mindy’s passion in life was to help others. She touched countless lives doing what was important to her. Mindy followed in her father’s footsteps with the Oxford Fire Dept., first as an Explorer, continuing as an extremely active Firefighter/EMT, then as Third Assistant Chief in Charge of EMS. She also volunteered with St. Baldrick’s. If there was someone in need, Mindy was there to help any way she could. Everything Mindy did was with compassion, love & a beautiful smile.
Calling hours will be at Behe Funeral Home, Oxford NY on Sunday, January 22nd from 2PM to 5PM. Her firefighter family will have a service at 1:45PM prior to calling hours. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 23rd, 11AM, at the United Church of Oxford, 25 Main St., Oxford NY. At Mindy’s request, donations in Lieu of Flowers be made to the United Church of Oxford, PO Box 566, Oxford, NY or the Oxford Fire Department Emergency Squad, PO Box 172, Oxford, NY.
