JOANN C. McLAREN
NORWICH – Joann C. McLaren, 74, of State St., passed away Friday, January 13, 2017 at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.
She was born July 31, 1942 in Passaic, NJ, a daughter of Ralph and Jenny DeVries Jackson.
She received her education in Passaic and Lamita, CA schools. On March 23, 1963, Joann married Gordon E. McLaren, Jr. He died on August 22, 2016. Joann was a wonderful loving mother who raised her children on her own. She was a hard worker and enjoyed crocheting for her family and entertaining. She loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, Tammy and Marty Logsdon of Norwich; Zina Aredondo of Mesa, AZ; Tina McLaren of Norwich; Gordon E. McLaren, III of Carlstadt, NJ; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Frank Tauarigo of Italy; Ellen and Vincent Cuisso of Pompton Lakes, NJ; Denise and Daniel Garcia of Simi Valley, CA; sisters-in-law, Eileen Zak of Mays Landing, NJ; Debbi Tornaritis of East Stroudsburg, PA; and Joann Gatto of Lodi, NJ; grandchildren, Crystal Schader of Plymouth; Martin Logsdon, Jr. of Norwich, Elxis and Ava McLaren of Carlstadt, NJ; great-grandchildren, Michelle, Denoleigh and Martin, III; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Ralph and Kenneth Jackson.
Memorial services will be held at 1pm Thursday, January 19, 2017 from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne.
There are no calling hours.
Interment is private at the convenience of her family.
