IRENE HOTALING IZARD
EARLVILLE – Irene H. Izard, 81, of Earlville, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the Chase Health Rehabilitation and Residential Care in New Berlin.
She was born on October 9, 1935 in Columbus, NY, a daughter of the late Clifford and Grace Balcom Hotaling and was a graduate of Sherburne High School in 1954. On May 17, 1958, Irene was united in marriage to Glenn Izard in Columbus. He predeceased her on December 24, 2000. Irene had worked for the Sherburne-Earlville Central School from 1990 until her retirement. She had previously worked for the Chenango National Bank. She enjoyed traveling, garage sales, and Draft Horse Assoc. functions. Her special joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Izard was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Earlville.
Surviving are her daughter, Karen Izard of Earlville; son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Patty Izard of Oxford; grandchildren, Jeremy and Serenity McCracken of Earlville; Bryan and Whitney McCracken of Norwich; Nicole McCracken and Andy Stone of Denver, CO; Caden Izard of Sherburne; great-grandchildren, Parker, Brendan, Lena and Everett; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Ruth and Richard Horton of New Berlin; Marion Meyers of Sherburne; and Anna Senn of New Berlin; a brother, Lester Hotaling of MA; several nieces, nephews and in-laws. She was predeceased by her brothers, Edward and Clifford “Butch” Hotaling; sisters-in-law, Jane and Arlene Hotaling; brothers-in-law, Robert Senn and James Meyers.
Funeral services will be held at 12PM Saturday, January 14, 2017 from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne.
Spring interment will be in the North Norwich Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11am to 12PM.
