Sara Beth Burlison, 69, of Norwich, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at the Chenango Memorial Hospital.
Sara was born on August 9, 1947 in DeRuyter, NY the daughter of Corry & Mable (Locke) Hart and attended the South Otselic School. Following her schooling she lived in several parts of the country and returned to the area in August of 1982. It was at this point Sara decided to obtain her GED and continue her education by attending SUNY Morrisville where she earned her Nursing Degree. She worked as a Registered Nurse for the Gilmour Health Care Facility/Norwich Rehab & Nursing Center, Valley View Nursing Home and Chenango Memorial Hospital.
Sara was a quiet individual until you got her mad or upset, then, it was war. She was very intense on politics, enjoyed doing ceramics and served as a Den Mother when her son was in Scouts.
Sara is survived by her son William Burlison of Middletown, her sisters Carol Lambert of Norwich, Gloria Hart of Morrisville and her brother Leon Hart of Lebanon. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Jason, Erika, Payden, Amber, Ethan, Zachary, Colin and Adam along with her great grandchildren Raven, Jack, Emily Khloe and Greyson. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Sara was predeceased by 2 children Lisa Lella and Wayne Burlison and siblings Joan Marie Duguay, Rose Anne Shaw, Connie Brienza, Lorena Hart, Corry Hart, Jr. and Charles Hart.
Friends may call at the R. J. Fahy Funeral Home on Monday from 2-4 pm. There will be no formal funeral service. Interment will be in the Cuyler Cemetery.
