Bernice Voorhis, 82, of Norwich, Preston Manor and formerly of Sherburne, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017, at the Valley View Manor Nursing Home.
Bernice was born on July 10, 1934 in Norwich the daughter of Theodore and Mildred (King) Voorhis. She attended school in Norwich and Pittsfield from which she graduated. Over the years she had been employed by Cheesebro Ponds, Sherwood Medical, Egg Low and Classic Pharmaceutical.
Bernice was a quiet lady and just enjoyed keeping to herself.
Bernice is survived by her brother Carl Voorhis of Norwich along with several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister Marion Voorhis.
A funeral service for Bernice will be held on Thursday, January 12, at 1:00 pm from the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev. Jeremy Stopford, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Earlville will officiate. Interment will be a t a later date in the Butternut Valley Cemetery.
Friends may call at the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home on Thursday from 12-1pm.
