Margaret Barbara Rosa


Margaret Barbara Rosa, passed away on Sunday December 11, 2016 with her loving family by her side. She was born August 19, 1932 in the Bronx, NY to Nicholas and Barbara Schwartz.
Marge was pre-deceased by her parents, Nicholas and Barbara, her first husband Manuel Rosa, second husband, Daniel Ohl, Sr. and son, Daniel Ohl, Jr.
Marge is survived by her son, Robert (Elissa) Rosa and children, Stacy, Robert and Eric. Son, Thomas Rosa, and his son Thomas. Daughter, Dianna Rosa and children, Jeremy Farnsworth and Stephanie (Dan) Engle. Daughter, Yvette Hatton and children, Stephen Ohl, Desiree Hatton and Luke Wilkes. Son, Nicholas Ohl and children Jessica and Peter Szabelski, Daniel and Nicholas Ohl. Son, Scott Ohl and children, Danielle Marzouk (Ahmed) and Josh Whitty. Son, Stephen E. Ohl (Stella) and children, William, Brian (Alisha) and Timothy Ohl. Daughter, Jean Ohl (Wayne Dennis) and son Thomas Ohl. She is also survived by 28 great grandchildren.
When Marge was 16 she started her career at the telephone company as an operator. While she was there she modeled for their monthly magazine and was asked if she was interested in a modeling career. She declined at that time. Later she went into the health care field and her main job was as a home health care giver. She spent most of her working career taking care of others. Marge’s greatest joy was her family and she loved hearing from them and spending time with them. She enjoyed cooking large family meals and baking along with long talks about her life. Marge was always available for her children and grandchildren whenever they needed something. Margaret was involved in many activities including the Red Hatters Society, Tenant Association President, Secretary and Treasurer, Tenant Association Bone Savers Arthritis exercise classes and much more. Marge will be missed dearly.
In lieu of flowers please send charitable donations to the American Cancer Society or Mountain Valley Hospice, Gloversville, NY. At marge’s request, funeral arrangements will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Gloversville Funeral Service.
