Wayne L. Mott


Wayne L. Mott, 80 of Oxford, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2016. Wayne was born in Sidney, NY. Son of the late Clifford and Dorothy (Seacrest) Mott. Wayne is predeceased by his wife Judith (McCarty) Mott as well as his grandaughter Samantha.
Wayne is survived by his children Christine Luzader and her husband Kim of Loveland, OH, Gregory Mott of Ovid,NY and Kimberly Murrer and her husband Robert of Oxford, NY. Wayne is also survived by his grandchildren Nathaniel, Alexander, Andrew, Thomas, and Logan, Jackie, Jacob. Also surviving Wayne is his great granddaughter Allison, his brother Ronald Mott of Unadilla, NY and his sister Sandra Becker of Albany, NY.
Wayne was a graduate of Sidney High School. Shortly following high school Wayne enlisted in the Navy. Through out his life he worked in numerous fields including insurance, and construction. Wayne was a long time member of The United Church of Oxford as well as a Rotary member. He was known as a jack of all trades, who loved to spend time with his family and friends. Wayne loved going to church, music, and his Newfoundlands. Wayne will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Behe Funeral Home Inc. 21 Main Street, Oxford, NY 13830. A Memorial service for Wayne will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the United Church of Oxord, with Rev. Linda Rackliffe officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to The United Church of Oxford, P. O. Box 566 Oxford, NY 13830.
