Lula (Gantt) Rucker passed away on 11/19/16, at the age of 97, at the Southland Nursing Home in Dublin, GA/ Miss Rucker had lived in Norwich, NY for more than 70 years, most of those years at 31 Eaton Avenue. Upon coming to Norwich, Lula worked for Dr. Martin Jacobi, Chenango Memorial Hospital, the Elk's Club, and retired from the New York State Correctional Facility, Camp Pharsalia as a Food Service Supervisor.
Miss Rucker is survived by six children: Jennifer Reed, Sharon Gonzalas, James Brian Gantt, Mary Jean Gantt, David Gantt, and Deborah Gantt. Miss Rucker has eight grandchildren: Saundra Gantt, Rebecca Gantt, Scott Gantt, James Lester Gantt, James Robert Gantt, Jackie Scott, William Champion, and Michelle Champion. Lula has great and great, great grandchildren also.
