Theodore J. Lashway, Jr.


Theodore J. Lashway, Jr., 84, a resident of the New York State Veterans Home of Oxford for the past several years passed away Thursday morning, November 24, 2016, at the Veterans Home.
Ted was born in Coventry on December 20, 1931 the son of Theodore & Yvonne (Dominick) Lashway. He attended school in Bainbridge and shortly after his graduation entered the United States Air Force. Ted made the Air Force his career earning the rank of Master Sgt. E7 and was stationed in Germany. He reenlisted for a second time serving as a mail carrier in the United States Army.
Ted was a member of the Oxford American Legion where he was a member of the post’s firing squad and also marched in their parades.
Ted is survived by his wife Beverly Remington Lashway of Oxford, step-daughter Theresa Phinney, step-son Charles Frayer, Jr., his sister Linda Mott, brother Donald Lashway and sister-in-law Ruth Lashway. Also surviving are step- grandchildren Megan Fagnani and Morgan Phinney.
He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Mary Pinney and brothers Ronald and Richard Lashway.
A memorial service for Ted will be held in the spring at a time and place to be announced.
There will be no calling hours.
