Rosemary T. Winter


Mrs. Rosemary T. Winter of Norwich, NY died Saturday, October 29, 2016 at home with her family by her side. She was 86.
She was born July 31, 1930 in Long Island, NY the daughter of the late Martin Lang and the late Josephine Reinhardt Lang.
Rosemary was married for 58 years to Charles Richard Winter prior to his death on December 11, 2005.
She worked as a Secretary for the Dept. of Public Works in Monticello, NY and earlier in life she worked for the Phone Company and Saint James Nursing Home.
Rosemary was a member of Norwich YMCA and Saint Paul’s Catholic Church in Norwich, NY.
A family statement read: “Rosemary was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother. She enjoyed the company of her many friends and family. She lived a full adventurous life going to many places throughout her life with her late husband and family members. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, swimming, playing bingo, playing cards with friends and family, and volunteering for many different charities as well as many other activities in her life time. She was always full of joy and great stories about times in her life. Rosemary will be forever in our hearts and never forgotten.”
Surviving are: Daughter: Dawn Chrisbacher and her husband William, Norwich, NY
Sister: Bertha Walz, Rosendale, NY
5 Grandchildren: Jim Lovelace, Jennifer Lovelace, Kirsten Ey, Kenneth and Kasey Mitchell
4 Great Grandchildren
Also several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her son, Charles R. Winter Jr. and her daughter, Kathy Mitchell
There will be no visitation and a graveside service will be at Montoza Cemetery, Mail Road, Barryville, NY at a later date.
Cremation was at Hillington Crematory, Morris, NY.
