SHERBURNE: Martin W. Mikalunas, 67, formerly of Sherburne, passed away Monday, August 29, 2016 in Springfield, MA.
He was born February 4, 1949 in New Berlin, a son of Victor E. and Nina J. Winton Mikalunas. He worked on the family farm until graduating from Sherburne High School and then pursued a career as a carpenter. He enjoyed drawing, painting and horses. He was a member of St. Malachy’s Church in Sherburne.
Surviving are his mother, Nina; sister, Arlene (David) Knapp; brothers, Charles (Laura), Victor (Sandy), Dean (Jean), Cody (Candy), Bodie (Wendy), and Barrett (Paula) Mikalunas; several aunts, uncles cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father and an infant brother, Steven.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Saturday, September 3, 2016 from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne, followed by burial in St. Malachy’s Cemetery.
