Laura Wilcox McGowan was born in 1931 in Johnson City, New York to Laverne and Hannah Long. She passed away on Friday, the 22nd of July 2016 at Munroe Regional Medical Center Ocala, Florida.
Laura was predeceased by her loving husband Richard Wilcox and stepson David Wilcox.
She was devoted to her family and is survived by James (Pete) McGowan Sr. of Florida, children Deb Kuhn (Ted Church) of Virginia, Jim (Wendy) McGowan of Cortland, Richard (Jenise) Wilcox of Virginia, Keith (Maria) Wilcox of New Berlin, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother Joe (Carol) Hoffman, and several nieces and nephews.
Laura was the Activities Director for many years at Chase Memorial Nursing Home in New Berlin, New York prior to her retirement.
There will be a graveside memorial for family and friends at Fairview Cemetery August 20th at 11:00.
