ANGELINA NATOLI
Angelina “Angie” D. Natoli, 94, of Park Street, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at the New York State Veterans Home in Oxford, NY.
Born August 7, 1922 in Rochester, NY, Angie was the daughter of Gaetano and Nunziata (Garofalo) Favorito. Her family moved to Norwich where Angie received her schooling, leaving early to care for her family. She worked as a buyer at the former Carol Ann Shop retiring after 26 years when the shop closed.
Angie was a communicant of St. Bartholomew’s Church where she was a lector and Eucharistic Minister. Angie was also a member of the Ave Maria Guild/Rosary Society. She loved to cook and feed her family. She also enjoyed her vegetable and flower gardens. Angie loved animals, especially her dog, Gigi.
In 1946, in Norwich, Angie married Joseph D. Natoli, who died in December of 2011. Angie is survived by her son, Christopher Natoli and his wife, Maureen, of Norwich; a daughter, Sandra Petruzzelli and her husband, Michael, of Rochester and four grandchildren, Beth Anne Oliver (Andrew) of New Orleans, Nathan, Natoli of Auburn, NY, Natalie Tortoretti (Dominic) and Michael Petruzzelli (Amy), all of Rochester and two great grandchildren, Danica Tortoretti and Madison Petruzzelli, both of Rochester. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Theresa Zieno, of Sidney. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Angie was predeceased by a grandson, Matthew Natoli, a great grandson, Joseph Perry Oliver, brothers Joseph Favorito and Anthony Zieno and a sister, Rose Schibeci.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Angie will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at St. Bartholomew’s Church. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery. Friends are invited to call at the Wilson Funeral Home on Monday from 5-7 pm. Members of the Ave Maria Guild/Rosary Society will recite the rosary at 4:30.
Contributions in memory of Angie may be made to the Capital Campaign Fund of St. Bartholomew’s Church, 81 East Main St., Norwich, NY 13815.
