Mary Jenne


SHERBURNE – Mary L. Jenne, 89, formerly of North Main St., passed away Friday, Sept. 25, 2009 at Harding Nursing Home in Waterville.
She was born Oct. 25, 1919 in Islip, Pa., a daughter of Mark and Anna Butry Mussision and received her education in Earlville schools. Mary married Harmon H. Jenne who predeceased her in 1957. Mrs. Jenne had worked for TACO, Standard Brands and Harold Doyle in Sherburne, and then for Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich for 15 years until her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Malachy’s Church and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.
Surviving are her children, Bonnie and K. Terry McNeil, David and Lolly Jenne, all of Sherburne; grandchildren, Kristen McNeil Johnson, Kyla McNeil Grace and Michael Jenne; great-grandson, Quinlan Grace; sisters, Rose Knasick of S. Lebanon; Katherine Sterle of Eaton; Eva Campbell of S. Lebanon, Ann Dale of Sherburne; sisters-in-law, Murial Musician and Marie Mussision, both of Lebanon; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Jenne; a sister, Helen Parker; two brothers, Frank Musician and Charles Mussision.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Malachy’s Church, Sherburne, followed by burial in the Eaton Cemetery, Eaton.
Friends are invited to call at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m.
The Rosary will be recited at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
