David W. Llewellyn

DAVID W. LLEWELLYN
David W. Llewellyn, 70, of Norwich, passed away Saturday morning, April 9, 2016, at home with family by his side.
Dave was born in Sherburne on January 20, 1946 the son of Leon and Gladys (Pierce) Llewellyn, Sr. He grew up in the Sherburne area and attended the Sherburne schools. Over the years Dave worked as a truck driver, diesel mechanic and auto body repairman. His last employment was with Webb & Sons from which he retired.
Dave was a jack of all trades and master of none. Mechanically inclined his whole life, he could always be found working on anything mechanical. He enjoyed working with his hands, rather it was doing auto body repair, working on a diesel engine or just helping a friend with their repair work. He also had a passion for Harley motorcycles. So much so that in just one summer he had 7 of them, not all at the same time, just switched them out.
Dave found enjoyment and contentment in spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
On May 22, 1976 in Norwich he married Jamie Tucker who survives. Besides his wife Jamie of Norwich, Dave is survived by his children Timothy Llewellyn and companion Jamie Quattrocchi, Heather (Llewellyn) Pittsley, William College all of Norwich and Wayne College of Syracuse. Also surviving are his siblings Elizabeth (Susie) Boise and husband Howard of Sherburne, Marti Llewellyn of Indianapolis, IN, Richard Llewellyn and companion Alberta Strain of Plymouth and Robert Llewellyn and companion Sherry Miller of Sherburne. Dave is also survived by his grandchildren Corteney Llewellyn, Lauren Llewellyn, Alexa Lockwood, Jake Llewellyn, Julia Llewellyn and Kolton Pittsley, his mother-in-law Patricia Sutton and companion John of Norwich, his sister-in-law Patricia Llewellyn and his brother-in-laws John Morris of Norwich and Dan Tucker and wife Angie along with many nieces and nephews.
Dave was predeceased by his parents Leon and Gladys Llewellyn Sr. and his 2 brothers Herbert and Leon Llewellyn.
A funeral service for Dave will be held on Wednesday evening, April 13, at 7 p.m. from the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home. Friends may call at the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m.
