Darrell T. Hilts, 67, of Norwich, passed away unexpectedly at his home on March 17, 2016. He was born on November 26, 1949 in Oneida, NY the son of Stuart and Shirley Eastman Hilts.
Darrell has made his home in Norwich for many years. He attended and graduated from the Norwich Schools where he also wrestled for the school wrestling squad. His worked for a period of 20 years for Agway and then another 2o years for the Chenango County Highway Dept. from which he retired. Darrell was an outdoor enthusiast and an avid gun collector.
Darrell is survived by his children; Tanya Hilts of Richmondville, Trish Hilts and husband Buck Kinney of Jefferson, NY and Thomas Hilts and wife Jenny Hilts. Also surviving are his grandchildren Nisa Latif, Oliver Hilts and Kenzee Kinney, his siblings Patricia Hilts and Harold Hilts both of FL. He was predeceased by his sister Shirleen Hilts Wilson.
A Celebration of Life for Darrell will be held by his children at a later date.
