Carol Kinne


Born in New Hartford, NY. Her parents were Thomas Kinne and Rosemary Allen Kinne.
Carol Kinne was an artist, teacher, farmer, dog lover and citizen. She received a BFA from Hunter College, CUNY, and an MA from Bennington College. Artist Kinne was a painter, draftsman, printmaker, computer master and had many solo and group shows, including at Galerie 'Arnaud Lefebvre’ in Paris, France. She taught at Hunter College, Rutgers University and Colgate University. She was a leader in computer-generated art and designed the computer art lab at Colgate.
As a farmer in Columbus, NY, Carol and her husband Robert Huot raised Jersey dairy cattle. Dog lover Kinne kept and showed the Samoyed breed and achieved an AKC championship with her male, Togo. She also was active in Samoyed rescue, placing many dogs in good homes. Citizen Kinne was chair of the Columbus Planning Board, Deputy Town Supervisor, and a member of the steering committee that developed Norton Park.
Carol Kinne was respected by all who knew her and had a full and creative life.
Carol died at her home in Columbus with her husband Robert Huot and dog Nukka at her side.
