Michael C. Bartley, 73, of Norwich passed away Monday evening, February 1, 2016, at home with his family at his side.
Mike was born on December 22, 1942 in Westfield, NY the son of Edwin and Helen (Fodor) Bartley. He grew up in the Westfield area and graduated from the local school. He has made his home in the Norwich area since the mid 1960’s. During that time he has been employed by the New York State Police and worked as a security guard for Procter & Gamble as well as CWS. Mike was also a member of American Legion Post 189, VFW Post 2782 and B.P.O.E. 1222 of Norwich.
Mike is survived by his daughter Alison Kaminski and husband Kyle of Oxford, his son Eric Bartley of Florence, SC, his grandchild Logan Kaminski and the mother of his children Linda Creighton of Greene.
Mike was predeceased by his sister Susan Smith.
A Celebration of Life for Mike will be held on Saturday, February 13, at 3:00 pm from American Legion Post #189 in Norwich.
