RICHARD W. WEBB
SHERBURNE – Richard W. Webb, 66, of Sherburne, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016 at the Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown. He was born in Norwich on December 11, 1949 a son of Harold and Lila Monroe Webb and graduated in the class of 1968 from Oxford Academy. He served his country in the United States Air Force in Vietnam. On October 7, 2000 in Norwich he married the former Priscilla A. (Pierce) Brunschmid. Mrs. Webb predeceased him on December 6, 2009. Richard retired from the Carpenters Union Local # 281, Binghamton. He also while living in Florida for a time, worked for the Florida Power & Light Co. as a welder/mechanic. He was member of the US Military Veterans Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed drag racing, was a hot rod enthusiast and loved working and caring for Kari’s horses. He also was an active participant in the “Relay for Life” activities.
Surviving are his mother Lila Webb of Oxford; his children, Aaron and Karen Blanton of Midland, TX; Eric Blanton of Brooksville, FL; Kari and Robert Buck of Sherburne; Melody and Andrew Phillips of Ontario, Canada; Ronald, Jr. and Jana Miller of Sherburne; a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Paulette Webb of South Bend, IN; a sister and brother-in-law, Tody and William (Bill) Root of MI. Grandchildren, Michael Rao; Emily, Brennan, Gauge and Delaney Blanton. Johnathon and Samantha Miller; Matthew and Brianna Miller; Christopher Phillips; Bethany Phillips, two great-grandchildren, Axel and Faye and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Terry Webb.
Services with Military Honors will be held Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 11:00 AM from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne. Interment will be held at convenience of the family.
Friends are invited and may call on Monday from 6 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
