Gene W. Losee


SHERBURNE – Gene W. Losee, 54, of North Main St., passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 1, 2016 at Community Memorial Hospital in Hamilton.
He was born August 11, 1961 in New Berlin, a son of the late Raymond W., Jr. and Drusilla “Duke” Mueller Losee and was a graduate of Sherburne-Earlville High School. He had been married to the former Sana Fox. Gene was a contractor for Joe Magro in Sherburne for 18 years. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. Gene was very involved in his community, and was especially dedicated to youth sports. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #876 in Sherburne.
Surviving are his loving companion of over 12 years, Erma Palmer of Sherburne; his children, Kyle Losee and his fiancée, Chelsea Worden of Smyrna; Scott Losee and Ray P. Losee, both of Sherburne; four sisters and a brother-in-law: Christine Losee of Sherburne; Debbie Losee of Afton; Robin and Oye Muckelroy of CA; Nancy Losee of Sherburne; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Richard and Jerilynne Losee of Sherburne; Raymond, III and Lois Losee of Earlville; Mark and Wendy Losee of Syracuse; two grandchildren, Chloe and Wyatt; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Friday, February 5, 2016 at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne.
Interment will be at a later date in the Poolville Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Friday from Noon until 2pm prior to the service.
A reception will be held at Magro’s Banquet Hall, Rt. 12B, Sherburne following the service.
Contributions in his memory may be made to the American Legion Post #876, Sherburne.
