EARLVILLE – Jane C. Emhof, 86, of Earlville, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the
Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown. She was born in Sherburne on March 23, 1929 a daughter of the late Clayton and Bernice Wilkinson Collins A lifelong area resident, Jane was a 1947 graduate of Earlville Central School. On September 16, 1950, she married Richard C. Emhof in Hamilton. Mr. Emhof predeceased her on May 10, 1999.
During her career, she worked at Best Brands; New York Farm Equipment Dealers; Eastern Federation of Feed Merchants; American Management Association; Colgate University and New York Central Mutual Insurance Co., Sherburne until her retirement.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Hamilton. Jane, ever the cheerful optimist, will continue to be a shining example of thoughtfulness, kindness and selflessness.
Surviving are two daughters and sons in law, Diane and Jim Jipson of Bouckville; Darcy and Kyle Bendura of Earlville; grandchildren, Michael and Mellissa Taczak, Amanda Taczak, Frederick and Renee Taczak II, Lynn Jipson, Marisa Bendura; great grandchildren, Kayla and Nicholas DeCaire, Caitlyn Taczak, Frederick Taczak, III, Jaden Taczak, Jacob Jipson, Andrew Jipson, Matthew Jipson, Andrew Murphy, Elizabeth Suhor, Joseph Suhor; a sister Janet Clark of Syracuse and three nieces. She was predeceased by a daughter, Denise Taczak; granddaughter, Heather Gower and a grandson Paul Jipson.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 1, 2016 at 11:00 AM from St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Wylie St., Hamilton. Interment will be held in the spring, in the Earlville Cemetery. Friends are invited and may call on Sunday from 4 to 7 PM at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 3 Preston St., Earlville, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 3049 Syracuse, NY 13220.
