RICHARD E. SMITH
Richard Edward Smith, 81 yrs. old of Norwich, NY passed away on December 8, 2015 in New Berlin, NY.
Richard was born on August 20, 1934 in Norwich, NY, the son of Mildred & Herman Smith. His childhood was spent in Norwich where he attended Norwich Schools.
On January 29, 1960 he married Janette A. (Park) Smith who predeceased him on April 25, 2000.
Richard was a veteran of the US Airforce and was employed by Simmons Precision. He served in the Norwich Volunteer Fire Department Hook & Ladder and volunteer EMS.
He is survived by his children; Debra Grainger (Scott) and Karen Ring (Terrance) as well as 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings; Herman Smith, Harold Smith, Donald Smith, Patricia McMullen and Doug Smith.
He was pre-deceased by his brother, Robert Smith and sister, Gladys Deady.
A burial will be held in the spring.
