MICHELE SMITH
Michele Smith, 63 of East McDonough passed away on December 7, 2015 at Mt. Sinai Hospital, New York, NY. She was born on July 25, 1952 in Cortland, a daughter of the late Clifford and Joyce (Liddington) Michaud. On June 21, 1986 he she married Homer Smith, who passed away on September 12, 2013.
She is survived by her children, William Granger of Oxford, Paula Smith Nelson of Oxford, and Brian Smith of Corning, and; her grandchildren, Jenna Nelson, Trevor Nelson, Keegan Smith, Chase Smith and Bryn Smith; her brothers and sisters in law, William Michaud and Marge Forderkonz, Clifford (Larry) and Diane Michaud, David and Kit Michaud, and Michael and Lisa Michaud. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Throughout her life Michele served as the McDonough Town Clerk and was a cashier at the local Save-a-Lot. Michele ran the Out Post with her husband Homer for over 20 years, and enjoyed spending time refinishing antiques with her husband as well.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Union Cemetery, McDonough. Memorial contributions can be made out to the McDonough Fire Department at
