Terrell Pidgeon

TERRELL (TERRY) PIDGEON
Terry was born in Norwich, NY in 1954 and crossed over on November 24, 2015 after a very brave battle with cancer. He had lived in Wilmington, NC since 2001. Terry was the son of Norman and Myra Pidgeon. He is survived by his sister Cynthia Pidgeon of Sherburne, NY.
In 1977 he married Janet (Phetteplace) Pidgeon. Terry’s greatest joy was the family they created together. His three daughters were his heart and soul and he loved their husbands like sons. Katherine and Keith Harrelson, Andrea and Christopher Karns, and Rebecca and Anthony Tragoszanos, all of Wilmington, NC. His grandchildren were the light that warmed his heart and they all loved their “Pop” endlessly. Annaleigh and Evangeline Harrelson, Wesley and Ella Karns, and Riley Tragoszanos. His sweet angel granddaughter, Marlaena “Marlie” Karns, was waiting for him with a big smile and open arms when he crossed over.
Terry’s role as a provider was very important to him. He took great pride in all the work he did throughout his life. Terry’s last job as a machinist at G.E. Aviation in Wilmington was one of his proudest accomplishments and he felt privileged to work there. The friends he made through all of his jobs throughout his life meant so much to him.
Terry had a great love for music, riding motorcycles, golf, and most of all, making people laugh. Many hearts have been forever touched by his sense of humor, his beautiful smile and his gentle spirit.
A celebration of Terry’s life will be held at Holy Cross Episcopal Church, 5820 Myrtle Grove Road, Wilmington, NC 28409 at 2pm on December 12, 2015.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to AADC, 310 Pine Valley Drive, Wilmington, NC 28412.
