Frank Biviano


SHERBURNE – Frank E. Biviano, 63, of Asheville, North Carolina, formerly of Sherburne, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009 at his home. 
He was born Sept. 7, 1945 in Norwich, the son of Onofrio and Helen Biviano, and was a graduate of Sherburne Central School, class of 1963. After high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force and served until 1967 and was a veteran of the Viet Nam War. He worked in finance for several years, briefly in law enforcement, and then went on to become a business owner operating Uncle Frank's restaurant in Emporia, Virginia and the White House restaurant in Littleton, Virginia. His hobbies were hunting, fishing and riding his Harley. He most recently resided in Asheville, N.C. and was active in the VFW Post 829 there. 
Frank survived by his daughter, Paula Fairbairn and her husband Michael; his sister Marie DiNoto and her husband Robert; three grandchildren Trevor and Tim Wright and Allen Fairbairn; his nephews Timothy and Thomas DiNoto and their wives Deborah and Tamora; six great nieces and nephews and several cousins.  He was predeceased by his father Onofrio and mother Helen Biviano.
Friends and family may call at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Malachy's Church in Sherburne at 11 a.m. Saturday, followed by burial with military honors in St. Malachy’s Cemetery.
