JEAN (McGOWAN) DODGE
NORWICH – Jean (McGowan) Dodge, of Norwich, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at Chenango Memorial Hospital. Jean was born on March 28, 1946, in Rochester, the daughter of Edward and Edith McGowan. Jean lived and worked in the Norwich area most of her life.
Jean is survived by her children, son, Joseph A. Dodge; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly (Dodge) Blackman and her husband Brian; son, Scott A. Dodge, all of Norwich; grandchildren, Tyler and Eric Dodge of Norwich, Jason Jipson of Webster, NY; Ashlie Edmunds of Frankfort, NY, Brent and Courtney Dodge of Smyrna; great-grandchildren, Hunter Dodge of Norwich, Blake and Brody Jipson of Webster, NY, Caleb and Jameson Edmunds of Frankfort, NY. She is also survived by her sister Nancy and her brother-in-law Bob Fern, both of Norwich; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Edith McGowan; sister, Gail (VanDuser) Bennett; brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Sally McGowan.
Per Jean’s request there will be no calling hours or funeral service. A private service will be held in the spring at the convenience of the family.
