He was born January 4, 1930 in Carini, Sicily, the son of Andrea and Giuseppa Nicastri. In his early years Tony was in the grocery business in Palermo, Sicily. Tony and his family opened Nina’s Pizzeria in Norwich in the summer of 1975 and successfully operated that business for more than 35 years. Nina’s was considered one of Norwich's best restaurants. They always took great pride in Nina’s and loved to see all of their friends and family there.
