DOROTHY CUNEO
NORWICH – Dorothy D. Cuneo, 81, of Norwich, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
Born in Port Jefferson, NY on March 6, 1934, Dorothy was the daughter of George and Kate (Wright) Russeau. She was a registered nurse, having attended Suffolk Community College, followed by Stonybrook University, where she completed her college degree. In her leisure time, Dorothy enjoyed cooking and playing golf.
On December 28, 1952, in Kings Park, NY, Dorothy married John B. Cuneo, Jr., who survives. She is also survived by her son, John Cuneo III and his wife, Rosanna, of Kings Park, NY; grandchildren, Kimberly Alt and her husband, Jeffrey, of Las Vegas, and John Cuneo IV, also of Kings Park; great-grandchildren, Emmalyn Alt and Gianna Cuneo as well as nephews, Richard and Robert Freidrich and a niece, Susan Lundstrom.
Memorial services for Dorothy will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at the Wilson Funeral Home with the Very Reverend Chuck Taylor, Rector, Emmanuel Episcopal Church, officiating. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
