FRANK POWELL
Frank S. Powell II, 59, of Nokomis, Florida and Chenango Lake, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Chenango Memorial Hospital.
Born in Norwich on July 13, 1956, Frank was the son of Frank L. and Mary Lou (Smith) Powell. He attended Mercersburg Academy and then graduated from Norwich High School with the Class of 1974. Following his schooling, Frank worked for Victory Markets in Norwich before moving south to work in sales for a cemetery in Georgia. He then settled in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where he was a sales manager for the South Florida Newspaper Network. He spent his recent summers at Chenango Lake.
Frank is survived by his mother, Mary Lou Powell, also of Nokomis and Chenango Lake, and two nieces, Olivia Powell, of Los Angeles and Caroline Powell, of Oxford. Several cousins also survive. Frank was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Glenn Powell.
Graveside services for Frank will be held at 11:30 am on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 in Mt. Hope Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
