CHARLES L. TRASK
SHERBURNE – Charles L. “Butch” Trask, 66, of Kendrick Rd., passed away Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich.
He was born December 8, 1948 in Otego, NY, a son of Louis and Virginia Decker Trask and was a graduate of Sherburne High School. On July 15, 1967, Charles married Mary Stackhouse in Sherburne. A life-long Sherburne resident, he owned and operated Trask Contracting. Butch enjoyed line dancing and tinkering in his garage.
Surviving are his wife, Mary; sons and daughters-in-law, Johnathan and Teresa Trask of North Norwich; Charles, Jr. “Pete” and Gina Trask of Sherburne; Tom Trask and his fiancée, Heather Colao of Danbury, CT; sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Bob Myers of Norwich; three brothers and sister-in-law, Douglas Trask of Norwich; Howard and Deb Trask of Oneonta; and Art Trask of Davenport; step-brothers and step-sisters, Ed and Pam Bliss of CO; Steve and Joyce Bliss of Norwich; Fran and Rick Baran of Lancaster, NY; Kathy and Bob Wright of SC; Joan DeVost of Otego, Charlie and Amy Reinshagen of Hobart; John and Eileen Reinshagen of Norwich; Jimmy Sullivan of FL; Sue and Randy Hulbert of Milford, NY; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins; and his canine companion, Angel. He was predeceased by a sister, Cheryl Law, and a step-brother, Charles Bliss.
Funeral services will be held at 7pm Wednesday, August 26, 2015 from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne.
Interment in the North Norwich Cemetery will be private at the convenience of the family.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-7pm prior to the service.
