ROSALIE A. WINTON
ONEIDA – Rosalie A. Winton, 77, Lenox Avenue, died Monday evening, August 3, 2015, in the Oneida Healthcare Center, shortly after her admission as a medical patient.
Born in Oneida, on January 11, 1938, she was the daughter of Alfred J. and Leda Smith Santora. A lifelong resident of Oneida, Rosalie was a graduate of Oneida High School, Class of 1955. She married Robert J. Winton in Oneida, on June 30, 1956. Bob died on October 23, 1985.
Prior to her retirement, Rosalie was employed with the Madison County Clerk’s Office and previously had been employed with the Madison County Department of Motor Vehicles, the New York State Department of Labor and the former Endicott-Johnson Shoe Store of Oneida. She was a member of the Vernon Seniors Club, the Verona Seniors Group, the AARP, Oneida Chapter #3328, was active with the various OHS, Class of ’55 gatherings and was of the Catholic faith.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Pierre Trudeau of Oneida; two sons, Robert J. and his wife Debra Winton of Junction City, Kansas and Michael J. Winton and his fiancé, Michelle Peterson of Oneida; three grandchildren, Sean Winton, Katelyn Winton and Matthew Trudeau; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday at the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main Street, Oneida, with the Reverend William Mesmer, officiating. Interment will be made in Valley View Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, 3-7 PM Thursday.
