FRANCES ROTUNDO
NORWICH – Frances M. Rotundo, 90, of Norwich, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 17, 2015 at the Residential Health Care Facility of Chenango Memorial Hospital.
Born in Norwich on December 14, 1924, Frances was the daughter of Rocco and Giovanina (Giaquinto) Rotundo. She was a graduate of Norwich High School with the Class of 1942 and then joined the workforce of the Norwich Knitting Mill where she became an inspector retiring during the middle 1970’s.
Frances was a member of St. Bartholomew’s Church and enjoyed travelling. Her greatest love, however, was her family.
Fran is survived by her sister, Antoinette Simmons, of New Hampshire and many nieces and nephews, Mary Jane Mazzeo, Jeanne Flanagan, Kathy Pelton, Jimmy Rotunno, Julie Winner, Frances Nucero, Patty and Elizabeth Rotundo, James Rotundo, Debbie Smith, Denise Hammond, Kathleen Chaffee, Maria Baker, Pamela Genung, Mike Mundwiler, Tom Kennedy and Rick and Guy Simmons. She was predeceased by her brothers, James, Paul, Michael and Joseph Rotundo as well as sisters, Susie Forsythe and Mary Kennedy and nephews, Joey Rotundo and Michael Rotundo Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Frances will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at St. Bartholomew’s Church with Rev. Ralph Bove, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery. Friends are invited to call at the Wilson Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 21st from 4-6 pm.
Contributions in memory of Frances may be made to the Capital Campaign Fund of St. Bartholomew’s Church, 81 East Main Street, Norwich, NY 13815.
