GORDON KENNETH MOORE
NEW LISBON – Gordon Kenneth Moore, 72, of New Lisbon passed away on Friday, July 10, 2015 at Chestnut Park Rehab and Nursing Home, Oneonta, NY. Gordon was born in Bainbridge, NY the son of Kenneth Moore and Rolla (Schlafer) Moore. He graduated from Bainbridge Guilford High School. Gordon married his childhood sweetheart, Barbara on July 7, 1962 in Oxford. They were married for fifty-two years.
Gordon was proud to be a farmer, loved reading; family gatherings, and history. He could recall any dates.
Gordon is survived by his children; Glen (Ellen) Moore, Kerrie (Ron) Swift, Wendy (Alan) Johnson, David (Jennifer) Moore; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren;
sisters Mona Waffle and Cindy Gibson; brothers Joe Moore, Tom Moore, and Ormand Moore. He was predeceased by his wife Barbara, brothers Gary and Frederick.
Calling hours will be held at the Morris Methodist Church on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a funeral service beginning at noon with the Rev. Becky Parry officiating. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Mt. Upton.
