KEITH O. PETTIT
NORWICH – Keith O. Pettit, 89, of Norwich passed away Sunday, May 31, 2015, in the Binghamton General Hospital.
Keith was born on January 1, 1926 in Otselic, NY the son of Joseph and Ella (Sherman) Pettit. He grew up in North Norwich and was a 1944 graduate of the Sherburne High School. Once out of school he gained employment with the North Norwich Feed Store. In 1952 Keith purchased a farm in North Norwich which he operated until it was sold in 1962. He then went to work in the construction business working for Ken Guinn, HGH and Norwich Homes. Following a short retirement he went to work for Opportunities For Chenango and then to Webb & Sons for a period of 11 years.
On December 14, 1968 he married Agnes Pettit who passed away January 7, 1985.
Keith is survived by his sister Winifred Lander and husband Earl of Nevada, his brother Lauren Pettit and wife Ladean of Walton and his niece Glenda Newell of Walton along with several other nieces and nephews.
At Keith’s request there will be no formal services with burial in the Maple Grove Cemetery of Otselic.
