KENNETH O. HOUCK
NORWICH – Kenneth O. Houck, 81, of Norwich, passed away Thursday morning, June 11, 2015, in the Chenango Memorial Hospital.
Ken was born on February 16, 1934 in New Rochelle the son of Carlton and Leona Houck. He was a 1953 graduate of the Hamilton High School and following his graduation entered the United States Army serving his country from 1953 – 1956. A resident of the Norwich area for many years, Ken worked as a carpenter and roofer. He had worked with Larry Richards and also for Barden homes. In his spare time he enjoyed his hunting and fishing.
On May 26, 1973 in Milford, PA he married Emma Finkle who survives.
Besides his wife Emma of Norwich, Ken is survived by his sister Norma Lamb and husband Keith of Eaton, his grandsons Jobie Conklin and wife Samantha, Travis Conklin, 3 great grandsons and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his sister-in-laws Denise Houck of Lake Placid and Sharon Goldthwait of Cicero and brother-in-law Robert Wiers of Tully.
Ken was predeceased by his brother Carlton Houck.
At Ken’s request there will be no formal funeral services.
