She easily made friends wherever she went. Whether it be on an airplane traveling in the U.S. or to Europe, playing bingo or even just sitting on a bench in a shopping mall. She had a contagious laugh and often cracked herself up. Some of her joys in life included, but not limited to, watching The Lawrence Welk Show, Barney Miller, Antiques Roadshow and The Turner Classic Movie Channel. The movies Casablanca, Gigi and Moonstruck. She enjoyed listening to the music of the Big Band era, Rosemary Clooney, Susan Boyle and The Mamas & The Papas. Her favorite snack was Lay's Lightly Salted potato chips. Betty was locally know for her "Sunday Breakfasts". What started out as a simple gathering for her crazy yet loving family, grew exponentially over 20 years becoming something of a coveted rite of passage for Burlington locals.
