JAMES LEO CARNRIKE
SHERBURNE – James Leo Carnrike, 88 yrs. old of Sherburne, NY passed away on June 1, 2015 at Chase Nursing Home, New Berlin, NY.
James was born on July 9, 1926 in Pittsfield, NY the son of Leo Laverne and Lorena May (Henderson) Carnrike. His childhood was spent in the Pittsfield, New Berlin, Columbus, Earlville and Sherburne areas. He attended New Berlin Central School.
On December 22, 1944 he married Gladys Louise Bagnall Carnrike in Sherburne, NY. She predeceased him in 2012.
He worked for TACO in Sherburne for 29 years retiring at age 55. He also raised beef cows on a farm on Tracy Road and veal calves on Route 12 in Sherburne, NY.
He is survived by his daughters; Donna Mae Carnrike Bartlett and her husband Lawrence, Barbara Ann Carnrike Prentice and her husband Peter, Debra Dee Carnrike Wedge and her husband Nelson and son-in-law David Monro Sr. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
James was predeceased by one daughter, Regina Marie Carnrike Monro in 2010, one great grandchild, David Gray and two brothers; William & Raymond Carnrike.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 5, 2015 at Noon at the Dakin Funeral Home LP, New Berlin, NY with Paul Cunningham officiating. Calling hours will be held from 10:00 AM to Noon prior to the funeral service.
Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, New Berlin, NY.
Memorial donations may be made to the Chase Memorial Nursing Home, New Berlin, NY.
