LAERENCE R. STITH
NORTH PITCHER – Lawrence “Lary” R. Stith, 56 of North Pitcher, NY passed away on Monday, May 25,2015, at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, while surrounded by his loving family.
Lary was born "The Day The Music Died," February 3, 1959, in DeRuyter, NY to Roy "Jack" & Rita Stith of Pitcher. Lary graduated from Cincinnatus Central School in 1977. He became an ironworker, with full DOT certification, and worked for the following companies: Kurtz Welding, J&B Welding, Vector, Fahs Ralston, Falter, DeVincentis & Son and Economy Paving. Lary was a helper to all; anyone who needed a hand, he was there. He called his mother every night on his way home to see if she needed anything from the store.
Lary's greatest pride was his family including sons & daughters; Vastni (Heather) Stafford, Timothy Stith, Ciara Stith, and Chantal Stith; his grandchildren; Ethen Stafford & Sylar Stith; father; Roy "Jack" Stith; siblings; Alan (Sylvia) Stith, Cathy (Phil) Wood, Michael (Lee) Stith, Laurie (Travis) Gross; a chosen brother Ray Dion and a close family friend Tara Feeley; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother Rita H. Stith (Dec. 2014), and a brother Kevin Stith (Sept. 1984).
Friends are invited to call at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, on Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with services at 1:00 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at North Pitcher Cemetery. In honor of Lary, you are welcome to wear orange "Lary's Crew" shirt!!! There will be a time offered for any memories you might like to share.
