IVAN R. UNGER
EARLVILLE – Ivan R. Unger, 97, of Earlville Rd., passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at the Crouse Community Center in Morrisville.
He was born September 27, 1917 in Hallstead, PA, a son of Daniel and Ida Parks Unger. On January 22, 1940, Ivan married Elizabeth Rounds in Hallstead, PA. She predeceased him on January 4, 1986. Ivan was a cattle dealer until his retirement.
Surviving are his children, Patricia and Robert Drown of Neversink, NY; Deborah Burnap of Spring Hill, FL; Edward and Kathryne Unger, Theodore and Lorene Unger, all of Earlville; David and Lori Unger of Hamilton; sisters, Ellen Unger of Tampa, FL; 23 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a daughter, Joyce Demmon; his sisters, Helen Unger, Anna Arling, Lida Hemphill and Charlotte Albrecht, and brothers, Fred, Harold, Carl and Stanley Unger; and grandchildren, Jessica Drown and Benny Unger.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Saturday, April 4, 2015rom the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 3 Preston St., Earlville.
Interment will be in the Graham Cemetery, Hubbardsville at a later date.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Saturday from Noon until 2pm prior to the service.
Contributions in his memory may be made to the Earlville Fire Department, or to the Hubbardsville Fish and Game Club Fire Department, or to the Crouse Community Center.
