TIMOTHY CONRON
SOLVAY – Timothy Conron, 55, of Solvay, passed away Friday at Veterans Hospital.
Timothy was a member of the Norwich Sr. High School class of 78 where he was an outstanding athlete in football, track & field, and basketball. He attended Fork Union Military Academy in 1979. He also attended Shippensburg University where he played football. Timothy graduated from SUNY Brockport with a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Management. Mr. Conron served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Orion a subtender based out of Sardinia where he received a Letter of Commendation for his dedicated service. Timothy was a member of many self help groups in the Greater Syracuse Area and also volunteered at his church, Cathedral of Immaculate Conception. He was an avid runner, cyclist, and skier and he enjoyed his daily workouts.
Tim is now in eternal peace. He will be greatly missed and is now in God's hands. Tim exuded great courage, resilience, generosity and was always and will forever be grateful to all those who have helped him along his life path. He was everyone's friend and expected nothing in return. May Tim rest in eternal peace.
He was predeceased by brother, Robert M. Conron and sister, Marie Fallon. Survivors include one sister, Maureen Conron; brothers, William V. (Chrysan Codding) Conron and Michael P. (Cynthia) Conron; sister-in-law, Vickey Conron; brother-in-law, Jerome “Spike” Fallon; nieces and nephews, Katie Conron, Karen Chamberlain, Kerry Beth Conron, Korinna Conron, Courtney Morrison, Kelly Conron, Kayla Dove, Tim Fallon, Moira Fallon, and Brendan Fallon. A funeral mass to honor’s Tim’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 1st, 9 a.m. at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception, 259 E. Onondaga Street, Syracuse. Timothy will be interred in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Norwich, NY at a later date. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, March 31st from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at PIRRO & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse (corner of Court Street and Park Street).
