ELEANORE D'ANGELO
NEW MILFORD, CONN. – Eleanore D'Angelo, 76, of New Milford, CT, formerly of Norwich, N.Y., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, N.Y.
Eleanore was born July 8, 1938 in Norwich, N.Y., the daughter of the late Salvatore and Josephine (Marshall) D'Angelo. In 1956 she married Joseph Rogalewicz, who predeceased her. She then married Anthony Montano who survives.
Eleanore attended Norwich High School, graduating in 1956. She spent many years living in Queens, N.Y. before moving to New Milford, Conn. She retired from the New Milford School District as a computer tech. Following retirement, Eleanore spent one winter in Florida before becoming ill and moving back to New York State for a short time.
Besides her husband, Eleanore is survived by her daughter, Teresa (Wayne) Eng, her grandchildren, Adam (Katie) Rogalewicz, Amanda and Andrew Eng; her great-grandchildren, Sage and Keira (whom she adored), all of New Milford, Conn.; a brother Francis (Janet) D'Angelo of Oxford also survives along with two nieces, Laura (Gerry) Curtis of Unadilla N.Y., and Kathleen D'Angelo of Clifton Park N.Y., and a nephew Francis Jr. (Diane) D'Angelo of Cleveland N.Y., along with aunts and cousins. A sister, Alice, predeceased her.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial graveside service will be held at a later date.
