ANITA CLUFF
GREENE – Anita L. Cluff, 82, of Greene, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 16, 2015 at Wilson Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Born March 13, 1932, in Long Island, NY, Anita was the daughter of Richard S. and Ruth (Ordway) Leach. On September 1, 1951, in Smithville Flats, NY, she married Russell W. Cluff, who predeceased her. Anita is survived by sons William Cluff, and his wife, Joan, of Oxford, and Stephen Cluff, of Greene, and daughter Barbara Cona and her husband, John, of Nineveh, NY. She is also survived by grandchildren Timothy Cluff, Victoria Chidester, and her husband, Wayne, Matthew Cluff, Jordan Cona, and Sean Cona, and great-granddaughter Kayli Cluff.
In her earlier years, Anita enjoyed oil painting and knitting. After the death of her husband in 1999, she enjoyed camping in the Adirondacks with her son, Stephen, and riding around the countryside enjoying the scenery. Most of all, Anita loved going out for breakfast and being with her grandchildren. She was a sweet a gentle woman who was very dedicated to her famlly.
Funeral services for Anita will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Behe Funeral Home, Oxford, NY, where Rev. Jerry Shriver, pastor, Brisben Baptist Church, will officiate. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Burial will immediately follow the funeral at Warn-Ten Broeck Cemetery.
