MILDRED BAKER
MT. UPTON – Mildred Baker 87 of Mt. Upton passed away peacefully, Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown.
She was born August 31, 1927, daughter of the late Frank and Merti (Curtis) Gage in Norwich.
Millie married Gerald Baker on March 2, 1942 in Oneonta, NY. He predeceased her on January 23, 1988.
Together they made a home in Mt. Upton and raised 7 children. Millie was a member of the Unadilla Valley Historical Society and a past trustee of the United Methodist Church in Mt. Upton.
She enjoyed sewing and making crafts and loved to spend time with her family and friends.
Millie is survived by: 2 Daughters – Patricia Kukulech, New Berlin
Tess and Richard Edgett, Sidney; 3 Sons – Gerald and Rosa Baker, FL, Don and Diane Baker, Mt. Upton, and Jim and Alice Baker, Mt. Upton; And good friend, Mary Beckwith of New Berlin; Several Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great, Great Grandchildren; Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
Millie was also predeceased by 2 Sons, Robert and Steven, Brother, Louis Gage and Sister, Bessie Gage.
Friends may call Wednesday, December 17, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 18, at 11:00 AM in the Funeral Chapel.
Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Mt. Upton at a later date.
