BERNARD H. PALMER, SR.
EARLVILLE – Bernard H. (Bernie) Palmer, Sr., 69, of Bisbee Rd., passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 7, 2014.
He was born in Lebanon on April 9, 1945, a son of Pearl and Catherine Schroer Palmer. A lifetime resident of the Lebanon/Georgetown area, Bernie attended Earlville Central School. He worked for the Hull Corp. as a crane operator and had been a heavy equipment operator for most of his life. Bernie is remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He enjoyed the outdoors and especially loved to hunt.
He is survived by his girlfriend, Judith Manwarren of Earlville; his children, Bernard (Bim) H. Palmer, Jr. of Sherburne; Todd (Lisa) Palmer of Sherburne; Wendi (Ed) McClannan of Selma, NC; Michael (Michele) Palmer of Canisteo, NY; his grandchildren, Erik, Anthony, Brent, Emily, Felicia, Ashley, Cory, Elizabeth, Cannon and McKinley. Also surviving are his sister and brothers, Sheila Predmore, Earl (Till) Palmer, Ed (Gail) Palmer, and Jack Palmer, all of Earlville; Ron (Ellen) Palmer of Norwich and Elton Palmer of Lebanon; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Joan Sutherland; and a brother-in-law, Gene Predmore
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Friday, December 12, 2014 from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne, followed by interment in the Lebanon Valley Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Thursday from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m.
Contributions in his memory may be made to the Lebanon Federated Church, or to the Georgetown Fire Department or Emergency Squad.
