KATHERINE M. LICHT
SMYRNA – Katherine (Kathy) M. Licht, 48, of East Main St., died Friday, December 5, 2014 at home, with her longtime companion, Craig Carpenter by her side.
She was born November 28, 1966 in Oxnard, CA, the only child of Christopher A. and Kay E. Connelly Licht, a Navy family, who called several states “home” during her early years. Kathy worked as a server for restaurants in New Mexico, and locally for Pizza Hut in Norwich and McDonalds in Hamilton. She enjoyed Pogo online gaming, and loved lighthouses, Tweety Bird and the Grinch.
She is survived by her mother, Kay of IL; her father, Chris of IL; grandmother, Odeis Speight; daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Jason Potts of IA; granddaughters, Kira Rose and Brooklyn of IA; Craig’s father, Arnold Carpenter of Smyrna; and Craig’s daughter, Ashley Lawson of MD. She was predeceased by an infant daughter, April.
Friends are invited to call at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 3 Preston St., Earlville on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 from 1-3 and 6-8 pm, followed by services at 8pm.
Interment will be private at the convenience of her family.
