PATRIC F. LOOMIS
McDONOUGH – Patric F. Loomis, 52, of McDonough, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 4, 2014, at Chenango Memorial Hospital, Norwich, NY.
Born in Cortland, NY on May 23, 1962, Pat was a son of the late Floyd Loomis and Edna Harvey. A lifetime resident of this area, he was a “graduate” of Cincinnatus Central School and worked as a toolmaker for GE Aviation, Norwich, NY. Prior to that, he worked at Greene Technologies and Raymond Corporation as a toolmaker, machinist, and metal worker. This was not only his occupation but a favorite past time, as well. Like his dad, he was a collector, restorer, and trader of antique gasoline engines. Pat enjoyed his classic cars and was especially fond of his 1957 Chevrolet and his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Although a quiet and reserved man, Pat enjoyed talking to anyone who wanted to pass the time of day with him.
He is survived by his children, Nellie (Zachary) Hotaling of Cincinnatus, Ashlyn (Edward Perry) Loomis of Center Lisle; and Ryan (Ashley Warren) Loomis of Pitcher; his grandchildren, Aiden and Rhea, along with one future grandchild expected in June 2015. He also leaves behind his sister, Pamela (Kevin) Springer of South Otselic; his companion, Doreen Beebe, of McDonough; an aunt and uncle, Eleanor and Lawrence “Stub” Harvey of Cincinnatus; a nephew, Jeremy (Aimee) Stith and their children; and several cousins.
Funeral services will be held at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY, on Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. with Jeanne Angell officiating. Burial will be in Pitcher Cemetery.
