CHRISTINE M. (CHRISSY) WRIGHT
OXFORD – Christine M. (Chrissy) Wright, 45, of Oxford, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 24, 2014.
Chrissy was born on May 10, 1969 in Norwich the daughter of Ralph and Patricia (Benedict) Martin, Sr. She grew up in Greene and was a 1987 graduate of the Greene High School. Chrissy has made her home in Greene and Oxford and on Dec. 21, 1991 she married Todd Wright. Over the years she has worked for CWS and was currently employed by Mid-York Press in Sherburne.
Chrissy had an infectious smile and was very clever. She loved to clown around, enjoyed having a good time and at times could be quite a smartaleck. An outdoorsy kind of person, Chrissy loved to camp and garden.
Chrissy is survvied by her husband Todd Wright, her children Kimberly and Tyler Wright all of Oxford, her mother Patricia Leichtfeld of McDonough, her grandmother Betty Benedict of Oxford, her sister Karen Wells of Greene and her brothers Ralph Martin and wife Tobi of SC and Don Leichtfeld Jr. of Greene. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, her mother-in-law Linda Wright of Norwich, her step-dad Donald Leichtfeld of Greene and her canine friend Molly.
Chrissy was predeceased by her grandparents Don Benedict and Russell and Gertrude Martin.
A memorial service for Chrissy will be held on Friday, December 5, at 1:00 pm from the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home.
