MISSOURI CITY, TX – Clifton C. Howe, 71 of Missouri City, TX formerly of Oxford passed away peacefully on November 25, 2014 surrounded by his family. He was born on December 8, 1942 in Norwich a son of the late Ward and Edith (Glenn) Howe, Sr. On June 1, 1974 he married Belle Lewis, who survives.
Clif is survived by his wife, Belle Lewis Howe of Missouri City, TX; his daughters and sons in law, Jeni and Matt Thompson of Missouri City, TX and Jolene and Nick Collins of Georgetown, NY; his grandchildren, Mariah Thompson, Claire Thompson, Dylan Howe and Kendyll Howe; his brother and sister in law, Ward and Sherry Howe, Jr. of Oxford, NY; his special sister in law and brother in law, Mary and Karl Royce of Georgetown, NY and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Moore.
Clif had worked at Cooper Hardware and Raymond Corporation before a career at Norwich City Schools. He was a long time member of The Lake Steere Club, where he built his own camp. He enjoyed fishing, building, square dancing, and bowling. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Missouri City, TX. His family was the most important thing in his life.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 8, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main St., Oxford with Jill Farnham-Uf, hospice chaplain officiating.
Friends may call at the Behe Funeral Home on December 8 from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of one’s choice, a Christmas gift for a child, or First United Methodist Church, 3900 Lexington Blvd., Missouri City, TX 77459.
