ELAINE (HOOTY) B. DAILY
Elaine [Hooty] B. Daily passed away November 26, 2014 after an extended illness.
She was born April 22, 1936 to Leona (Monroe) and Harold Hackett of Oxford. Her parents predeceased her along with three of her siblings; Donald Hackett, Elizabeth Martin and Nancy Snell. She was also predeceased by her granddaughter, Heidee Peterson and her beloved husband George Daily who passed away in 2005.
She is survived by her brother Willard (Buster) Hackett, her three daughters; Nancy MacLaury, Janine Davis and Kevaney Reilly and several beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many dear friends who were like family to her.
Hooty (as she was known by) was loved and respected by most everyone that knew her. She loved adventure and challenges and her life was certainly exciting and filled with a plethora of experiences and a great deal of love.
Hooty did not want a funeral or calling hour, instead she wanted people to come together and have a good time in memory of her. To honor her wishes, there will be a shin-dig at the Oxford American Legion, December 6th from 1-3 p.m. Please bring a smile and a memory.
